A four-member delegation of Mapna Group of Companies of Iran, headed by Abbas Ali Abadi, had a meeting with Federal Minister for Water and Power Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar here Monday at the Ministry of Water and Power.
The Iranian delegation expressed great interest in setting up power plants of 1000MW capacity on urgent basis. The delegation further expressed keenness to supply and install 25MW small power plants on ground as well as on barges to help Pakistan in overcoming the current power crisis. The delegation will have follow-up meetings with the Pakistani technical experts to finalize modalities for these generation projects.
The Minister for Water and Power offered full support to the Iranians from Government of Pakistan in this regard.
The Meeting was attended by Secretary, Water and Power, Managing Director (PPIB), Managing Director (NTDCL), Chairman Energy Management Cell and other senior officers of Ministry of Water and Power.
