Maulana Inc.

Sir Lancelot blushes at the valor with which Maulana Inc. has made a statement, at the expense of coming in the line of fire. The passion captivates the fairer sex, the courage inspires aspiring warriors and the hearts defy the king. The world of fiction has felt the shockwaves, even Mel Gibson is humbled. There is method to this madness, there has to be. The assembly is awe-struck and hangs on to every word. It thinks itself simplistic to have believed that, for statesmen, it is better to bite your tongue than have to eat up your own words.
The party that has always supported state policies has finally found its own voice at the expense of committing treason. All those who think that the lines between the profane and the sacred have been blurred, need a moral compass. All those who think that we have found ourselves engrossed in a rather ridiculous debate that makes a mockery of the larger problems that pose existential threats to the country need to educate themselves about big, bad America’s nefarious motives. All those humanitarians who work for animal rights– this one, is for you; the prestigious clergymen who like to talk ideology and security are reaching out.
What a vulgar war to fight, for a creature of wanton destruction that thrives on watching the downfall of the Ummah. Our problems are not our own, they do not stem out of our own paralysis to figure out national priorities out of our own callous disregard for the violation of our rights, we are part of a larger game for world domination. Survival of the fittest is a rule that kafirs live by anyway. A party with a record of supporting state policies and gracing the assembly seats with its presence has begged to differ. It has seen the light and is sharing the burden with the world. The sacrifices of thousands of Pakistani civilian and military (hitherto called) martyrs have been blown out of proportion for no reason at all. Maybe if the Maulanas feel too generous they can be classified as ‘collateral damage’ and left off the hook.
We were warned about turbulent times ahead. “The country is passing through its worst time of history. Even the bearded and the turbaned people are being attacked,” Maulana Fazl ur Rehman said at a JUI-F convention in Peshawar after close shaves on March 30 and March 31 in 2011 at Swabi and Charsadda respectively.
