The troops are coming home, at least some of them.
President Obama will announce his much-anticipated Afghanistan withdrawal plan on Wednesday, with one administration official telling CNN that the commander in chief will bring home 30,000 U.S. “surge” forces by the end of 2012.
Sources told the L.A. Times that about 10,000 troops will come home by the end of this year.
There are now 100,000 U.S. troops stationed in Afghanistan, including the 30,000 that Obama ordered late last year in an effort to curb rising violence.
